Mrs. Cynthia Dwyer, Chief Academic Officer
Mrs. Cynthia Dwyer is the Chief Academic Officer for the Boonville School District. She attended the University of Missouri where she received her Bachelor and Master Degrees. She also attended William Woods University and obtained a Specialist’s Degree. Mrs. Dwyer has been working in education for 19 years of which 10 years have been with the Boonville School District. She originally taught 1st grade before stepping into her current position. She likes her current position because she enjoys helping teachers and sharing new instructional strategies. She says her favorite part of working in the school system is seeing all of her students grow up. She says, “They bring back all of the fond memories of having them in class.”
Dwyer has two children: a 4th grader and a 2nd grader. She says that she and her husband enjoy watching their kids play sports and participate in other activities. They have two cats and two dogs and her favorite quote is, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
