The Boonville R-1 Board of Education is proud to announce that Chelsea Jackson has been named Hannah Cole Primary School Principal effective July 1, following the retirement of Principal Leslie Reardon.

“The Boonville R-1 School District welcomes Mrs. Jackson to our Pirate Team.  Mrs. Jackson's classroom experience and instructional leadership will provide the bright beginning our students need for a successful school experience,” says Superintendent Dr. Sarah Marriott.  “Mrs. Leslie Reardon has developed a building of care and compassion with high expectations for all.  We are confident Mrs. Jackson will be an asset to the mission and vision established by Mrs. Reardon.  We are excited to see where Hannah Cole Primary is headed next.”

Mrs. Jackson began her teaching career in Columbia, where she taught first and third grades for 11 years. She then transitioned to Hallsville schools to begin her career in adminstration. Mrs. Jackson has worked in Hallsville schools for the last 3 years, most recently serving as principal at Hallsville Primary.

Collaborating with and learning from others is one of the best ways to enhance an educator’s experience. Mrs. Jackson collaborates with others as an active member of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals. She also values the role of mentorship and has worked closely with the University of Missouri to support novice teachers.

Chelsea Jackson has a unique perspective as a “newcomer;” she has been working in another community, while Boonville is where her family lives and her children attend school. Mrs. Jackson said, “I have seen firsthand the positive impacts of the Boonville School District on my own children and others in our community.  I have immense respect for the teachers and staff at Hannah Cole.  I am excited to join the Pirate family and serve the community I call home.”

Welcome to Hannah Cole Primary, Mrs. Jackson!
