Pirate Summer School
Boonville Schools offers Summer School opportunities for students entering Kindergarten through 12th grade.
These programs are designed to help students continue learning, strengthen key skills, and explore engaging activities during the summer months. Below you’ll find details about program dates, locations, courses, and how to register.
K–8 Summer School
Dates
May 26 – June 19, 2026
Who Can Attend
Students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade
Locations & Times

Kindergarten–3rd Grade: Hannah Cole Primary
7:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. -
4th–8th Grade: Laura Speed Elliott Middle School
8:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
What Students Will Learn
Students will receive instruction in reading, writing, math, and science, along with engaging electives such as STEAM and sports.
Meals & Transportation

Free breakfast and lunch provided daily

Limited bus transportation available upon request
Registration Deadline
Families should complete registration by April 10 to guarantee placement. Students who sign up after April 10 will be on a waiting list.
Enrollment confirmation, teacher assignments, and final location details will be sent through ParentSquare in May.

High School Summer School
Dates
May 26 – June 5, 2026 (Make-up days June 8 and 9)
Who Can Attend
Students entering grades 9–12
What Students Will Learn
Students can earn half-credit courses (equivalent to one semester) through focused summer classes. These courses help students complete graduation requirements such as Health or Personal Finance, or recover credits while staying on track for graduation.

Bus transportation is unavailable for the high school summer school

Students may enroll in concentrated-format, half-credit courses (equivalent to one semester) including:
