Laura Speed Elliott Families,

At the February 18 Boonville R-1 Board of Education meeting, the Boonville R-1 School District approved the hiring of Ellen Tucker as the next Principal of Laura Speed Elliott Middle School, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

Mrs. Tucker currently serves as Assistant Principal at LSE and has been part of the Pirate team for several years. Her experience in the building and strong connections with students and staff will help ensure a smooth transition and continued focus on a positive learning environment for all students.

Current Principal Angie Rogers will retire at the end of this school year after many years of dedicated service to students and families. The search for the next Assistant Principal will begin immediately.

Mrs. Tucker shared the following message:
“I am excited and honored to be the next principal of LSE. I look forward to continuing our work together, building on the strong foundations that make our school a great place to grow, thrive, and succeed!”
