Superintendent Search Announcement

The Boonville R-1 School District is accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools. Our district serves approximately 1,700 students across six buildings and is committed to preparing responsible individuals, confident learners, and future-ready citizens. Located along the Missouri River and I-70, Boonville offers a strong sense of community with connected school engagement.

Contract & Compensation

  • Hiring salary range: $135,000–$170,000

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance

  • Initial three-year contract

  • Final salary based on qualifications, experience, and education

Required Qualifications

  • At least three years of successful district leadership experience

  • Residency within the Boonville School District is required within one year of employment

  • Missouri superintendent certification or nearing completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in instructional and academic leadership

  • Skilled, relatable communicator

  • School finance experience

  • Doctorate degree

  • November 21 – January 9: Application window

  • January 15: Board begins applicant review

  • January 22: Screening interviews

  • January 29: Finalist interviews

This is a closed search. Only the final candidate will be made public. The Board of Education is conducting this search in partnership with the Missouri School Boards’ Association.
